You can now create and sign petitions online - which are then sent directly to Downing Street's inbox! Of course this means that it is now much easier to submit silly ideas. Here are some amusing ones I came across:

Fruit and vegetables should be given to people via NHS instead of slimming medication
Bring back the Radio 4 UK theme
Repeal the Hunting Act 2004
Ignore the petition to repeal the Hunting Act 2004
Enter Ultimate Frisbee into the 2012 Olympics

And of course there are some failed ones...

Agree to allowing trolls to live under every bridge in London. Rejected because: It was outside the remit or powers of the Prime Minister and Government.
Invade France (submitted by Fred). Rejected because: It contained language which is offensive, intemperate, or provocative. It contained false name or address information

Maybe I'll start one... Ban the submission of all stupid petitons.
