We have now officially come to the end of home schooling. Hannah & Josh have both enjoyed it and done well at what they have gone on to do. Hannah is in the final year of her Physiotherapy course in Southampton and Josh is busy doing his A2’s and applying for university.

We have all thoroughly enjoyed the process of home schooling over many years. We had been considering doing it for some time before Amy And Daniel were diagnosed as having Sanfilippo Disease (in 1995). With the added pressures that their condition put on us as a family we made the decision to start home schooling for Hannah and Josh, while Amy & Daniel continued at a local special school (where Dave is a governor). Both Hannah and Josh think it is better than school and  many of their friends have been envious of them over the years!

School isn't compulsory despite what we are often lead to believe! Home schooling is hard work but  has a number of tremendous benefits. We would thoroughly recommend considering it for any child.
