The Donegani’s came from Italy in about 1860 - about six generations ago. We have tracked down that it ‘John’ Donegani’ (although we are not sure his Italian name was John) who first came from the Como area of Italy.

John’s son, Mark married and settled over here, eventually living on ‘Crakley Bank Farm’ in Shropshire. (it sounds fascinating - we really must go and take a look some time)

We haven’t been able to make any connections or find any records back in Italy, although we have recently been in contact with a Donegani over there who has some recollection of realties in England - could this lead us to the missing link?

The other thing that is still unresolved is wether Mark Donegani had any brothers or sisters.
