family news

Having only just realised that 2008 has arrived, it has now nearly gone. The old idiom ‘time flies’ now seems to have taken on new meaning with the ‘flying’ part of it moving up into supersonic speeds! Earlier in the year we enjoyed a fantastic 10 days in Norway while Amy & Daniel went to Rainbows.

More milestones have been reached (as they do every year). Hannah is now in her final year at Southampton University. It won’t be that many months before she starts having to apply for jobs!!. She spent much of the summer out in Papua New Guinea, which was a fantastic experience  - she is keen to return sometime!  Amy left school! We really didn’t expect to see the day when she would. We are thankful to God for each day we have with her. She is now at college! - It’s an excellent unit set up a few years ago financed by both social services and education. She is there with others she knows and the transition has been very smooth - her smile is as infectious as ever.

Josh is now in his last year at school and recently submitted his UCAS application (to do linguistics). He recently passed his driving test and continues to be busy with lots of other things. He has just come back from ‘Euroscola’ - where he spent the day in the European parliament in Strasbourg pretending to be a euro MP. Daniel continues at special school. Amy & Daniel continue to keep us busy having to provide care for them 7 days a week and 24 hours a day (apart from when they are school / college) . It’s tough, but God is good and His grace is sufficient for all our needs. Our hope and confidence continues to be in Him.

Next Update: long overdue!
